Pardon Session

One of the greatest things that allows light and the Clear Book to come to you—illuminating your path and revealing what was previously hidden from you—is this:

Read the verse calmly: “O People of the Scripture, Our Messenger has come to you, making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.” [Qur’an 5:15]

The verse tells us that just as the Messenger makes many things clear to us, he also overlooks many things.

Does this mean that Al-‘Afuww (Pardoning) is not simply the act we usually limit to erasing the past?

Yes.

Al-‘Afuww is the primary force responsible for the outcome of your actions.

Whatever good deeds you do and whatever wrong actions you commit—Al-‘Afuww is responsible for their outcome.

When you pardon, you open the door to transforming and modifying your actions and your life in ways whose full extent you may not even realize.
